Resolve to Read More in 2024!

It’s the new year and you know what that means: time to make New Year’s resolutions. How about a resolution to read more? That’s mine and I’ve already pored through one book and am on my way through another. Although books are a great source of education and entertainment, how about getting more involved with your community by reading hyperlocal journalism and subscribing to Bucket List Community Cafe’s newsletter?

Each Friday at 8 a.m. our newsletter arrives in your inbox chock full of news and stories about things going on in our Denver area neighborhoods. It’s solution-oriented journalism that people in our community are asking for. News, issues, events, culture, people, pets, food and fun. A welcome respite from all the grim stuff that bombards us.  All voices are heard and everyone is seen at Bucket List Community Cafe.

And just like everything else at Bucket List Community Cafe, it’s free. All you have to do is visit our website and give us an email and you’re on the list. We promise we will not spam you or sell your information. You won’t be overwhelmed by emails multiple times a day or find lots of clutter that makes your head explode. It’s just a hyperlocal once-a-week break in your day with interesting character-driven stories, engaging podcasts and videos, and ample photos. Our goal is to make our community more involved, informed and positive.

The stories are written by our team of aspiring journalists—a mix of current students and recent graduates—from three universities: CU Boulder, Metropolitan State University of Denver and the University of Denver. All of them are the next generation of journalists that Bucket List Community Cafe mentors in the first step on their paths. By signing up for our newsletter you are supporting them on their journey. Their stories and podcasts are so good you wouldn’t know many are still in college or just recently graduated.

We would love to welcome you to our community of Bucket Listers. It’s easy. It’s free. It makes life in the Denver area better! So check us out and make reading more in 2024 a New Year’s resolution.
