With Valentine’s Day around the corner, you might be looking for some places to get gifts for your significant other, friends or even family. Denver has a lot of places where you can pick up locally made chocolate, flowers and baked goods. Show how much you love them but don’t wait until the last minute or you may disappoint!
Tokyo Premium Bakery
How about surprising your sweetie with a coffee and pastry from Tokyo Premium Bakery on Pearl Street. Everything is made from scratch and they suggest you order at least five hours before pickup so it’s perfect just for you. If you plan this just right your sweetheart can wake up to a croissant, cornet or fruit treat with a matcha latte. What a great way to start the day!

Deiter’s Chocolates
On east Evans Avenue in the University of Denver area is locally owned Dieter’s Chocolates. They are small but mighty and offer handcrafted European style chocolates. They have lots of Valentine’s Day suggestions. We love the truffle heart boxes. There are also chocolate and sour smooch lips. While supplies last folks, so get your orders in on time.
Stargazer Fine Chocolates and Coffee
Stargazer Fine Chocolates and Coffee is a family owned and operated hand crafted chocolate shop on Colorado Blvd in the Colorado Plaza. Their chocolatier Karen can transform chocolate into amazing creations including handmade truffles and a chocolate bears. Awwww! Your loved one will melt in your arms. “Our favorite part is being able to you know, provide a memorable, and delicious treat for people to experience on this special day.”

Cultura Chocolate
On Morrison Road near Federal Blvd in Lakewood is a Latina owned chocolate shop called Cultura Chocolate. Damaris makes her chocolate bars by using ingredients and techniques from Mexico and was inspired by her childhood when she would visit her abuela who made the best champurrado (chocolate atole) and mole sauce in town. Don’t wait until Valentine’s Day to stop in because they are closed on Tuesdays. They are hosting a Valentine’s event Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th. Mercadito de Amor has local venders, a Valentine’s day brunch menu, youth activities, Valentine’s Day specials, art, jewelry and, of course, chocolate.

Piñateria La Fiesta
On a corner in Jefferson Park is Pinateria La Fiesta. The place is packed with all kinds of pinatas including ones that say I Love You. Does your loved one love candy? Pack them inside and give a pinata. Martha, the owner, who also creates beautiful flower arrangements was almost too slammed to talk. With Valentine’s Day coming up she said “this week is going to be very busy.”

Flowers and Party Gabby
On Federal near 38th right next door to the Victory Outreach is Flowers and Party Gabby. If you want to surprise your sweetie with a giant teddy bear this is the place. There are also rose and candy combos and our favorite, bejeweled roses. Who doesn’t want roses that sparkle?

Lehrer’s Flowers
Located on West Mississippi Avenue, Lehrer’s Flowers has been proudly serving Denver since 1920. It is family owned and the largest florist in Colorado. Lehrer’s has a huge array of arrangements for Valentine’s Day from a dozen red roses to a real statement with 100 roses for $500. They offer same day delivery but order soon. You don’t want your flowers arriving late.
